Our pumpkin pick/open farm day will run on the following days between noon and 5 pm this autumn:

October 3 – 4, 2015

October 9, 10, 11, and 12, 2015

October 24 – 25, 2015.

This years planned activities include pumpkin picking, chicken feeding station, MacCurdy Farmer cutout photo zone, a straw bale maze, some heritage breed Plymouth Barred Rock chicks, our herd of cattle, and our big attraction, Karine, the 6 month old calf.  We will also have some vegetables, raspberries, and herbs available for sale.

As we slowly grow our pumpkin pick/open farm day, we encourage you to give us feedback and offer any ideas you’d like to see made available to enrich your experience in subsequent years.  Next year, we plan on having food available with sausages, MacCurdy Farm hamburgers, pumpkin pie, and other goodies.

Our coolest addition to next years pumpkin pick will be a daily pumpkin launch in our homemade pumpkin catapult, where all smashed pumpkins will, following permaculture principles, be fed as a treat to our roosters and turkeys.

We look forward to seeing you there with your families!
