Oat cakes are a traditional Scottish treat and a favorite among the MacCurdy Family.  Have a cup o’ tea and an oatcake.

3 cups of oatmeal
1 cup of butter
1 cup of flour
2 tsp. of cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/3 to 1/2 cup of white sugar

First heat oatmeal in oven then rub until fine.
Mix like pie crust and add milk as needed.
Roll out thin but not too thin.
Cook at 350 to 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 – 20 min.
